Christian Event Speaker

The truth is:  I fell in love with two men and married them both.  One named Tim, who’d been raised by his widowed mother in southern Kentucky.  He took me to his church where I met “the other man” — the One who stole my heart: Jesus. Months later, I floated down the aisle in what I describe as my “double wedding.” 

For the next two decades, I grew in my faith, teaching Sunday school and women’s bible studies, then hosting ladies’ retreats and outreach events on our gracious 22-acre horse property.  I wrote a devotional book, Gushing Springs, and began speaking at women’s retreats around the country.   My life was everything I’d ever dreamed it could be…and even more.
 
Then I lost everything to a devastating house fire, but discovered among the ashes two gifts that would change the trajectory of my life forever. Through the restoration process, God gave me fresh vision and a new assignment:  Calling women to arise.
 
And my goal is to always be faithful to that message.  My passion is evangelism!  My message to those who don’t yet know Jesus is clear: arise, come forward, meet the love of your life!  I’m also passionate about inspiring Christian women with the courage they need to arise to the special assignment God has for each of them.
 
I recently finished work on a forthcoming book recounting my life story, Out of the Ashes We Rise: One Woman’s Journey from Devastation to Restoration.  I’m also honored to be a senior faculty member at Women’s Empowerment University where I’m currently co- teaching a class on finding and fulfilling your life mission.  It’s called Live Your Best Intentions.  You can click here to learn more.
